Easy Peasy

So a few years back when I had Eli, my friend's Mom made me a darling little diaper changing pad out of some vinyl and ric rac. I got to thinking the other day about how my new diaper bag didn't come with a changing pad and how when we change Quinn in our room at night (since he is sleeping in our bedroom) we wouldn't have a diaper pad to change him on either. One quick trip to Jo-Ann's for some vinyl and fat ric rac and two changing pads are made! It was very easy and quick (and inexpensive)! I could have put fabric on the back of one side of the vinyl but I decided that would just take too much time and be that much more difficult for me. Plus vinyl on each side just makes it that much easier to clean, right?

(Sorry they are hard to see on my bed....since they are see through you just get a good shot of my duvet!)

One week.....

Diaper Bag packed:
1 nursing cover
1 burp cloth
1 swaddle blankie
3 cute & oh so tiny diapers
1 new package baby wipes
2 polka dot outfits with stocking caps
1 kimono undershirt
2 pairs of itty bitty socks
1 pair doggy booties

Outside of the diaper bay a gal on Etsy made for me....and one snuggly blue blankie.

Quinn's corner in our bedroom...my friend Michelle did a fantastic job on the bumper and crib skirt. The colors look a little bright in this shot - the red is not so jarring in real life.

And me (and Quinn) about ready to pop....don't think I can really get any bigger!

So...I'm feeling ready...still a little cleaning & organizing to do...a little grocery shopping to do. Dreaming of meeting this new little guy... right now he is still a stranger but soon will feel like he has been part of my heart forever.

How time flies....

(Eli & Daddy on his birthday)

Geesh, it's been almost a month since I last posted! So much to talk about maybe I'll try a list Leslie style!

Getting to visit with sissy and her kids for a few days...
A one year old, two year old, three year old and almost five year old are so fun to watch!
Wish the cousins could live closer!

Got totally hooked on the Twilight book series.
Read all four books in the last couple of weeks.
All because my sissy rented the movie for us to watch.
Thanks for getting me hooked on "Young Adult" vampire fiction!
Sadly I have not been a young adult for a long time...

Celebrated Easter with lots of extended family.
Kids did their Easter egg hunt in the rain.
Enjoyed watching Eli play with second cousins he hasn't seen in ages.

Dealing with gestational diabetes and a dietician.
Yuck about sums that up.
Poking my finger four times a day.
Seriously deprived of my sugar and carb cravings.
Pouring Splenda down my throat.
Happily not gaining as much weight at the end because of it.

This weekend Eli turned five! Birthday extravaganza!
Went to a an indoor water park (just the four of us).
Red Robin birthday dinner with the family.
Sunday a "a little friends" party in our backyard.
Glad it's all done but today is SHOTS day...he's been talking about how scared he is ALL winter.

Baby Quinn will be here two weeks from yesterday.
Darling crib bedding arrived last week from dear friend Michelle.
Waiting for arrival of cute new diaper bag...ready to fill it for the hospital!
Truck load of sissy's baby stuff arrived compliments of Grandpa last week.
Two packs of newborn diapers stuffed in the closet.
Two cute but itty bitty hospital outfits waiting for Quinn...worried he will be a BIG baby and not fit into them!

Greg finished new outdoor deck an hour before birthday party..a year in the works!
Found, assembled, painted and put out new patio chairs, table and umbrellas on deck.
Eating lots of dinners around this table and soaking up the nice spring weather we've been having!
Happily spotting flowering vinca vine, hostas popping up out of the dirt and lots of little green buds everywhere! So happy Spring is here!

Enjoying my peacefully clean house that my Mom slaved over this past weekend.
DAILY trying to keep it up so I'm not overwhelmed again before baby comes.
Thanks Mom!

Needing to finish another quilt for Addison that I started a month ago.
Need to rip out embroidery that I thought it needed....way to much work.
Need to get it done before baby comes even though it will be way too warm for summer.

Excited for a bloggy friends meet up that is in the works.
Hardly believe my luck that it may happen in my neck of the woods.
Hoping it will work out to go even though it is a year away!

Wishing I could add some pictures to this but having technical difficulties.
Hoping you all have a happy and sunny day!
