Only five more days until my little baby is ONE year old! She is so cute I could just squeeze her and kiss her all day long. Her birthday is Saturday the 23rd. It really doesn't seem that long ago that we were preparing to welcome her to the family. That is how time goes though. Life really is a cliche.
She has recently started whining/screaming for no apparent reason. She isn't crying but she might be irritated when she does it. She has never been a very vocal baby so I know she is just testing what she can do but it is a little annoying! She is still not walking which is fine by me. She continues to practice a few steps at a time and I know one of these days she will take off across the room!
We are just having some family over for her birthday - oh and one set of friends who have a baby. It will be a pretty low key party with yummy pizza bread and cupcakes or "pupcakes" as Eli still call them. I picked up this cute little talking purse for her the other day. It comes with keys and lipstick and a bracelet of course! You can't be an unaccesorized baby! The only other thing I bought her was a little family picture book that I need to fill with pictures of everyone that loves her.
On another note, I had a great time with my sister, Ian and Peyton. Addison flew on an airplane for the first time and I was glad it was only an hour flight. She was even given airplane wings for her scrapbook (which doesn't exist) from the stewardess. It was very cute. The plane was totally full of course and I was sitting next to two women who couldn't care less about the cute baby next to them. I don't get people like that..especially women. They barely glanced at her. What kind of people are like that? Anyway, she did pretty good for her first flight.
Peyton is in love with Addison. The entire time we were there he was looking for the baby or talking about the baby. He couldn't really say her name so she was just the "baby". Peyton is so cute right now ( not that he isn't any other time )! He is talking so much and his favorite thing to say is "No!". Nicole got Peyton's room and the new baby's nursery switched and they are decorated adorably! The baby is due mid March but she is in so much back and leg pain that we are all praying that she comes early. Poor Nicole - but she is a trooper and was able to get so much done while I was there.
My Mom and Dad took Eli for five days while I was away and he had so much fun.
He had more of a social life in five days with them than he does in two months at home. He was able to play with other kids everyday he was there and even got to go to his first Valentine's party!
I do have more to gab about but this post is getting too long for you poor readers out there! Have a great day!
