My Mom is the type of Mom that sacrifices for her family. Whether it is giving us the better piece of food and taking the burnt piece, the heel or just the plain ugly piece, she does it. She comes to visit and makes it her personal mission not to leave until every last pair of socks and undies is clean and folded and put away. She gives and gives and gives. She almost always comes to visit with a gift. She brings food, books, jammies, toys for the kids, clothes she got for a steal. She is always thinking of her kids and grandkids. I want to be like her when I grow up. She is also a master cook, organizer, finder of lost things, comfort when I'm sick and a sometimes pesky reminder to use my leftovers. She also says it like it is which can be refreshing and at times irritating (sometimes we all hate the truth but need to hear it.) My sister and I both call her multiple times a day and never want her to leave when the time comes. How I hope my daughter is like that with me!
She is humble, she will downplay how great she is but don't let her fool you. She is the best and I am forever grateful that God made her my Mom.
So we have had Hudson a week now. Eli really loves his new doggy. It took him awhile to get affectionate with him but now he loves to cuddle. Poor Hudson needs all he can get.
Sunday we had a wonderful day with my parents. I went with my Mom and bought my first tree. A cute little Japanese Maple for the back yard. Our dang dog is already trying to destroy it!
We had great barbecue and of course the time was too short - just a quick day trip for them.
Happy Anniversary to my sissy today! I can't believe it has been eight years already! Congrats to you two!

Thanks for the kind words AND I will make sure you get a more flattering pic of me......hugs... Mum
Thanks for what you said about Mom, I echo every last word of it. She truly is the best Mom ever! I aspire to be her and I know you do too. Hudson will come out of it soon and then he'll be a pesky little obnoxious puppy for about 8 months! Ha ha, been there, done that! Thanks for the anniversary wishes and cute pics of my niece and nephew, the cutest out there!
I have to agree you have a great Mom and I treasure her friendship and yours. I am glad Hudson and the kids get along and I am sure he will snap out of it soon.
Oh your commments about "mom" were spot on! She's not only like that with you guys but I've experienced her love and food and gifts too. She is truly one of a kind!! :) Happy Mother's Day to you too lady. You with your two beautiful children!!! Sometimes I stare at my kids and think that I never would have imagined my life as I stood on that high school graduation stage those many years ago. Now look at us? I love your dog too. Beautiful!
